Story
Hi all,
I'm going WAY out of my comfort zone in helping combat homelessness by taking part in Vinnies Community Sleepout. I'm hoping to raise much needed funds for Vinnies.
I'll be sleeping out, roughing it, toughing it out, whatever you want to call it, on Thursday, June 20th, 2013 with a bunch of like minded Community CEO's. We've got a blanket, a sleeping bag, and a piece of cardboard, and whilst it's a little daunting, it's for 1 night, and will be a walk in the park compared to what thousands of people go through on a regular basis.
I am honoured to be a part of this amazing event and helping a great cause, and I’d really appreciate your support in this endeavour. I realise that everyone has been hit up in the recent months for all sorts of charities/organisations, and I know times are tough. If you can spare some dollars to help Vinnies help others, I'd be really greatful.

Everyday Vinnies’ 9,468 members and volunteers help those who are struggling to take control of their lives whilst restoring their dignity; providing a hand up, not just a hand out. The type of support delivered differs from region to region by but may include: Vinnies shops, support centres, child and family programs, drug and alcohol support, migrant and refugee support, home visitation and youth programs.
